Johns Hopkins Hospital

Well, I am sure that most of you have heard that we are back at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Ella was readmitted Friday night. She got sick again at home and couldn't keep anything down and her sugars were low again so we took her back in. Her sugars when we got to the hospital was 44 and of course they didn't like that at all(the 44 was up from the 32 I got at home). They put her on IV fluids and then they hooked her back up to the tube and fed her and it all came back up so they admitted her on IV fluids only. Then yesterday they started really slow with the tube feeds and she is keeping them down. They are finally up to 15ml per hour and eight of a cup an hour. So as you can see very slow moving. Since they have ruled out another stomach bug they are going to do a stomach study of some kind. Endoscopy has been the term they used. I don't have all the details and the team of doctors working on her case will talk to us this morning about the plan. She really looks good today and has been flirting with everyone. I miss the kids, but they seem to be getting along fine with Aunt Natalie. I wonder if she is ready to pull her hair out yet? I do have to say that the kids have been very patient during this ordeal and I want them to know that I appreciate it. I am getting compliments about how good they are from the people in our ward. I know that I have good kids (even though the sibling rivalry is enough to make me go mad) and it is good that they can turn on the charm when duty calls and work together. I love and miss them a lot. I will let you all know more when I know more.
Thanks
